Singlocity.com

Welcome to the Singlocity blog site.  First let me introduce myself.  My name is Beth Anderson and I’m the president, owner, webmaster and chief bottle washer to the website, www.singlocity.com.  I have a passion to help singles with whatever challenges they may be facing, either relating to dating or not.  We want to celebrate the single person, no matter where they are in their life.  Many people put a label on singles that they should be with someone.  And many singles do want to have a mate.  But many are happy being single and are not actively looking.  We want to create a space where all kinds of singles can come and write about single parenting, divorce, dating, or maybe simply good places to eat.  We will be posting questions to every day concerns singles may have. So our first question is what kind of concerns would you like to see us talk about in this blog.  Some ideas may be dating issues such as how to use the internet effectively, or who pays on the first day.  Maybe it is about single parenting and whether you should date someone who has kids or not.  Anyway, give us your thoughts!!  This is your blog.   We are the vehicle you can use to get your voice heard.

Seems like a good idea, this site. I agree, lots of folks think it’s awful to be single, and unattached. I kind of like it; and it contradicts every fear I ever had about being single at my age. (I’m 60) Perhaps it’s because I am newly single and it may be a novelty, but I am OK with it at this point. I don’t have to account to anyone, I don’t need ‘permission’ to go out, and I can move about as I please. If the house is a mess, well, then I only have myself to yell at. So far so good.
